We’ve had the pleasure of meeting Hlumelo at our 50th Reunion. He spoke to us about his experiences at SACS. We are very proud that he has been chosen as part of the 2020 Prefect group!
Dirk Kemp had this to say:
“I must tell you that we were all literally blown away by his speech to our SACS ’69 reunion group last Wednesday evening! He spoke so well – his voice is clear and confident, but he still comes across as a well-grounded, humble (certainly not arrogant) lad. He was also quite candid with us about his initial difficulties and I think he earned everyone’s respect for having pulled through, formed friendships, made a huge contribution as a team player. He also seems to take his studies seriously and I hope he will be able to continue improving (given that he has had to make up for certain undeniable deficits in his primary and pre-primary education). I immediately thought: this boy should be a prefect – I am sure he will do himself and all of us who have supported him very proud!”
